How to Sign a PDF Without Printing or Scanning
Printing, signing, scanning and emailing a document takes time and paper. You can skip all of it.
The old way versus the quick way
The old way needs a printer, a pen and a scanner or phone camera. The quick way is to place your signature directly on the PDF and download it. The result is cleaner and takes about a minute.
Steps
- Open DydalPDF and add your PDF.
- Draw your signature with your finger or mouse, or upload a photo of it.
- Tap the page to place your signature and the date. Drag to move, or use the green dot to resize.
- Download your signed PDF.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Signing the wrong page. Check which page holds the signature line before you place it.
- A signature that is too large. Shrink it to fit the line.
- Forgetting the date. Add the date next to your signature if the form asks for one.
- Sending an unsigned copy. Open the downloaded file once to confirm your signature appears.
When printing is still needed
Some institutions still require ink signatures or witnessed documents. If the document says so, follow its instructions.
For everyday agreements and forms, a digital signature saves hours.
