How to Onboard a New Client Without the Back-and-Forth
The first week with a new client sets the tone. A simple routine saves you dozens of messages and makes you look organised.
The onboarding sequence
Day 0: Confirm and send the agreement
Thank the client for choosing you, and send the agreement and the first invoice together. Sign your side first.
Day 1: Collect what you need
Send one short form or message asking for everything in one go: contact details, access, files, goals and preferred ways of working.
Day 2: Send a welcome pack
Include your process, response times, meeting links and what the client can expect each week.
Day 3: Book the kickoff call
Share two or three time options so the client can choose easily.
A paperwork checklist
- Signed client agreement
- Deposit invoice and payment details
- Confidentiality agreement, if needed
- Contact and billing details
- Access to any tools or documents you need
Get the signature quickly
- Open DydalPDF and add your PDF.
- Draw your signature with your finger or mouse, or upload a photo of it.
- Tap the page to place your signature and the date. Drag to move, or use the green dot to resize.
- Download your signed PDF.
Make it repeatable
Save your agreement, invoice, welcome message and checklist as templates. When a new client says yes, you only fill in the details.
A repeatable process means your business runs smoothly even when you are busy or away.
